Wigan Council is holding its 3rd Destination Digital event in the Town Hall Atrium!

Anna Craciun, Innovation Officer at Transport for Greater Manchester; Andrew Beechener, Founder & CEO of Republic of Things; and Ali Rome, Service Designer and Internal Development at FutureEverything; will be delivering presentations, covering the development of futuristic smart bus stops and the positive impact these can have on public transport users and the local community.

Transport for Greater Manchester (TfGM) is the local government body responsible for delivering Greater Manchester’s transport strategy and commitments, who put the customer first in everything they do to help make travel as safe and simple as possible.

Republic of Things have recently worked in the Manchester based CityVerve project with TfGM to develop the “Talkative Bus Stop” concept and are active across many sectors particularly in Health and Social Care.

FutureEverything are cultural facilitators at the intersection of art, design, science and digital, who have facilitated the human centered design process within the CityVerve project, ensuring that the technology being implemented is actually useful and accessible for those living locally.

The session will provide attendees, the opportunity to learn about this innovative technology from the experts and then contribute themselves, by providing their own ideas and feedback.

Registration is essential, as places are limited.
