Digital West Midlands

Written by Matthew Adam, MD and founder of We Are Digital

Matthew Adam has been announced as the West Midlands local champion 2017. Matthew is the MD and founder of We Are Digital, a startup begun in 2012 (formerly Silver Training) and grown from scratch to become a leading digital and financial inclusion training company, with the UK’s largest

We Are Digital, a major digital and financial inclusion training provider, has its UK headquarters in Warwick. From its founding as a bedroom-startup by MD Matthew Adam, it has grown into two leased offices at the Warwick Technology Park, where a team of 16 now lead all its UK projects, including digital and financial inclusion programmes with housing associations across the country.

In the West Midlands itself We Are Digital has two major projects with Orbit, a large 40,000 stock housing association based in Coventry, delivering both in-home digital skills sessions 1:1 to Orbit residents, and a new innovative financial capability programme across 7 Orbit regions, in partnership with the CAB, Anglia Care Trust, Money Advice Plus and Squirrel.

We Are Digital has also run many training courses in the region in cities such as Birmingham, for Viridian Housing (now Optivo) and Metropolitan.

Proud to be at the forefront of digital inclusion in the West Midlands, the We Are Digital team is often speaking at events on the subject, including working with a host of tutors across the region, each covering a 20 mile from radius from their homes. We also run training courses at many sheltered housing estates in the area (for the over 60s demographic).
