To achieve maximum Channel Shift, we need to ensure all our customers have access to and can use our digital services. This salon will consider Digital Inclusion (DI), Assisted Digital (AD) and Digital Accessibility (DA) whilst acknowledging the undoubtable overlaps between the three areas. Whilst DI and AD are mostly Public Sector driven, DA is a universal requirement.

Join us to hear from our lead discussants including: Professor Hamish Laing, Professor of Enhanced innovation, Engagement and Outcomes at the School of Management, Swansea University; and Dr. Sangeet Bhullar, Founder and Director at WISE KIDS in Newport and Ziad Khan, Low Vision Analyst and Digital Accessibility Centre (DAC) Ambassador at Digital Accessibility Centre.

We will cover topics including:

  • digital transformation in health care that ensures that NHS staff and their patients have the digital skills and access that they need to get the benefits of digital technology avoiding a “digital inverse care law”;
  • digital skills work with children and young people;
  • the inclusion and diversity angle of supporting disadvantaged young people to get the digital skills support they need to enter and thrive in the workplace;
  • and achieving real digital accessibility.

There will also be a range of VR head-kits for attendees to experience a range of disabilities.

The event will be followed by networking drinks.

Places are limited so please reserve your place to avoid disappointment.
