3rd Public Sector Innovation Conference

02 March @ 9:00 am - 4:45 pm, #DigiLounge

Victor Adebowale

Following the success of the first two Public Sector Innovation Conferences in November 2018 and February 2020, in 2021 we will focus on innovation in public sector programmes and spend that leads to the creation of Social Value.

As vaccines emerge and we can all start to think about a post-covid period of recovery, the government can “Build back better” and deliver the social value recent months has shown we need – often by bringing in expertise and innovation from the private sector.

Businesses seeking to win government work will now need to set out how they will deliver social value priorities as part of delivering programmes and projects and No.10 has set out its 5 goals. Value for money in a period of tight fiscal measures needs to be maximised, but innovative thinking can drive new ways to deliver Social Value.

Over the course of the day all we will look at:

  • Supporting COVID-19 recovery, including helping local communities;
  • Tackling economic inequality, levelling-up, creating new businesses, jobs and skills;
  • Improving health and wellbeing and community integration; and
  • Sustainability goals
