CivTech Challenge Call

12 December @ 9:00 am - 1:30 pm, Glasgow, Tontine Building, 20 Trongate, G1 5ES

Over the past 3 years, CivTech has worked with over 21 organisations and government departments including the NHS, SEPA, Glasgow City Council, the Scottish Government and Young Scot.

The Can Do Innovation Fund officially launched in November 2017 and has funded 16 organisations to run 18 challenges to date. At the first call, 20 contracts with suppliers were awarded a total of £560K to address challenges in electric vehicle charging, water treatment, digital healthcare, surgical sanitation and CCTV provision.

The second and third calls saw £1.5m worth of funding awarded to solve 13 challenges from the likes of Citizens Advice Scotland, SEStrans, Police Scotland and Angus Council.

Now, CivTech and the Can Do Innovation Fund are seeking Challenges for their next rounds.

A challenge is any problem faced by a public organisation. CivTech and the Can Do Innovation Fund help public organisations define challenges before solving them by collaboratively working with innovative companies.

The ethos is open and inclusive. Whether you have a specific challenge you would like to discuss or just want to learn more about how we help public sector organisations develop enterprising new solutions to problems they face, come and speak to the CivTech and Can do Innovation Fund team.

They welcome anyone in the public or third sector to attend the events, whether you are responsible for organisational change or just seeking a fresh creative solution to a challenge.

The event will offer the opportunity to learn about the CivTech model, define participant problems as challenges using the CivTech approach and learn how Can Do can help fund challenges.
