Workshop: The ‘Virtual World’ of architecture

18 June @ 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm, Committee Room 1, County Hall, Colliton Park, Dorchester, DT1 1XJ

Immerse yourself into the ‘Virtual World’ of architecture as we consider the latest technologies for building lifecycle management.

Without these buildings where do we live, work, socialise and educate? How do we get to the design intent, and how do we manage it?

Attend to learn about how the sensation of being inside a building makes virtual reality a powerful tool for communicating design intent, and discuss how this fits with the wider agenda for ‘smart cities/places’.

  • Learn how Dorset Property service are using the latest technology to bring building design to life in the public sector
  • Be inspired by the potential for data driven innovative infrastructure and building design
  • Discuss how this work could support other Local Government services (for example home adaptations in social care) and identify future opportunities to apply the technology
