Workshop: Immersive Technologies and Digital Mental Health

The aim of this networking event is to engage service providers, practitioners and academics with ongoing developments within the local technology sector that may be relevant to mental health research, practice and professional training.

Attend to hear from the keynote speaker,  Dr Tom Van Daele, Head of Expertise Unit Psychology, Technology & Society (PsyTS) at Thomas More University of Applied Sciences in Antwerp, Belgium. There will also be various live demonstrations from local technology companies including those working with 360˚ video and Virtual Reality.

The event will also introduce the new Immersive Technologies and Digital Mental Health Network at Queen’s University Belfast. The aim of this trans-disciplinary network is to explore the benefits that technology can bring to the lives of those experiencing mental health problems.
