Roundtable: Powering ethical AI decision making in Government

18 June @ 9:00 am - 11:30 am, Civica, 30 Stamford St, South Bank, London, SE1 9LQ

Our partner Civica is organising a roundtable event. Join in the 2-hour morning discussion around ‘The ethical use of AI in UK  Government’, as part of the Digital Leaders Week 2019.

The growing impact of AI is impacting our everyday lives. Now more than ever government departments require leaders with the right knowledge to make the right decisions. Join the London forum with AI experts to discuss what is possible, what is desirable, and how AI can be ethically, safely and effectively deployed.

The discussion will be led by Civica and their partner – University of Bath, as part of their recent partnership which aims to help train the next generation of AI leaders.

Attend this event to learn about:

  • How AI is being used today across government departments
  • What the opportunities are for future use
  • How we ensure that decisions on how and when to use AI, are informed and ethical
Panellists include:
  • Professor Eamonn O’Neill, Director of UKRI Centre for Doctoral Training in Accountable, Responsible and Transparent AI, University of Bath
  • Steve Thorn, Executive Director, Civica Digital
  • Trevor Hodges, Head of Business Insight & Analytics, Civica Digital
