DWP women in digital

DWP Digital’s Women in Digital event returns for its third year on Wednesday 19 June in Leeds.

What is Women in Digital?

Women in Digital is a free one-day event that brings together a range of voices from across the digital sector and digital government to champion better gender balance.

If you’re a woman in a digital role or if you want to develop a digital career, Women in Digital will give you the chance to network, collaborate, and take away knowledge and tools to help you.

What’s happening at the event?

  • Talks on digital roles such as user researcher, software engineer and content designer
  • Renee Hunt from Sky will talk about their returners programme
  • Northcoders talking about how they encourage women to learn new tech skills
  • Opportunities to try out coding and hear about women’s networks
  • The chance to build your digital network and make new friends in a room full of like-minded women

Why is Women in Digital important?

  • Create an inclusive environment for all women in digital roles
  • Inspire the next generation of women into the digital sector
  • Support women returning to the digital sector
  • Encourage diversity across leadership roles
  • Build confidence and develop the ‘human / non-technical skills’ that women need to succeed in their careers

The full agenda for the day will be shared soon – watch this space!
