Webinar recording: 21st Century public services – a manifesto

Lego Government

Written by Eleanor Crouch, Digital Leaders

In 1941, the founder of the modern welfare state, William Beveridge asked “How would one plan social insurance now if one had a clear field … without being hampered by vested interests of any kind?”

Andy Beale, Co-Founder and Principal of Stance and Mark Thompson, Director, Methods and CJBS try to answer a new question: How would one plan a modern, internet-enabled state if one had a clear field … without being hampered by vested interests of any kind, as they reveal a “Manifesto for better 21st Century Public Services”.

They will be sharing a vision for an internet-enabled modern state and discuss: how we transition successfully from our current state to that future state; and how can we organise ourselves more productively as a society in the way that we design, shape and interact with our public services?

The webinar consists of a 30-minute presentation followed by a 20 minute interactive Q&A.
