Workshop: Technology for Young People on Long Term Ventilation

The NIHR Children and Young People’s MedTech Cooperative and Lab4Living will be hosting a workshop to identify potential technology solutions that address unmet needs of children and young people on Long Term Ventilation.

The areas of focus for the workshop are:

  • Advances in ventilator care and monitoring
  • Airway clearance
  • Networked care and communication
  • Transition expectations
  • Overall patient care pathway

There will be a series of short talks from leading experts, industry and interactive sessions. Attendance is invited from health care professionals, academics, industry experts, young people and families, and anyone with an interest in or knowledge of Long Term Ventilation.

This workshop is organised by Lab4Living and the NIHR Children and Young People MedTech Co-operative, a national organisation dedicated to developing paediatric medical technology in health areas with high disease burden and unmet needs. NIHR Children and Young People MedTech Co-operative is hosted by Sheffield Children’s NHS Foundation Trust.
