Insight Live Week (4 – 8 November 2019) is the virtual summit you can take part in without leaving the comfort of your desk. Even better, unlike physical conferences where you end up sitting through content you just don’t need, Insight Live lets you dip in and watch the specific talks on the topics that matter to you.

Smart Cities: How new payment-linked technology can be used to understand consumer behaviour and build a sustainable local economy

A webinar by Colin Munro, Miconex, and Graham Pinfield, Perth & Kinross Council

Perth and Kinross Council and Miconex, working together have pioneered the use of payment-linked technology in a smart cities context to reward and incentivise consumer behaviour and to create a framework to measure the impact of different interventions on consumer behaviour.

By tracking payments across multiple businesses sectors and transport operators, we can create new data that for the first time allows us to start to understand how residents interact with a ‘place’.

Converting earned rewards to a local currency stimulates additional economic activity and provides the opportunity to influence and reward positive behavioural changes such as smarter travel choices, healthier lifestyle options and reduction in single use plastics.

This webinar is free to attend, but please click the link to register your place.
