There are plenty of examples of failed digitisation projects throughout the private and public sectors. This is evidenced by many organisations now coming to market for a 2nd or even 3rd generation digital platform. Which tells us they didn’t quite get it right first or second time round. With digital transformation projects taking significant resource and expense to implement we should all be focussed on getting it as right as we can first time round. Are there common factors for success? Where are the pitfalls and what lessons could we be sharing across the public sector to ensure best use of resource and public expenditure for the future?

In this webinar, our digital transformation experts shared the secrets and recipes of successful digital projects. The line-up included Chris White, Digital Solutions business unit manager at Capita Software Services, Sally Meecham, Digital Lead at Defra, Ben Hayman, Digital Leaders New Zealand and GM Service Development and Transformation Lead at Assurity Consulting Ltd and Ciaran Hanway, Head of Consulting at Kainos. The session was facilitated by BBC’s Kate Russell.
