T Levels are new set of qualifications which will be available to students aged 16-19 from September 2020. They combine classroom-based learning with on-the-job experience and will equip students with the knowledge, skills and behaviours necessary to thrive in the industry. These qualifications have been designed by industry experts and have been constructed with employers firmly in mind.
In the Digital sphere, there will be 3 separate pathways, all of which will give students a firm understanding of the Digital industry before allowing them to specialise further in their second year.
In this webinar the presenters including representatives from the Institute for Apprenticeships & Technical Education, Department for Education and employers who helped shape the qualification.

It allows businesses to really invest in the education of their younger staff – especially those who have not had formal post-school education, and ensures that learners are exposed to live situations where they can put their training into practice.”
Tim Ebenezer is Director of Digital at Foundation SP following his time as Technology Director for Civica and CTO for Fujitsu Defence. Tim has brought both SME and large business input to the T Level process, and was involved as a member of the Digital – Development T Level panel. Having led large scale digital transformation in the public and private sector, Tim is acutely aware of the need for greater breadth and depth of digital skill across the workforce.”
