Social Media for Social Good

23 June @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pm, London, WC1N 3NL

Social media changes social interaction. Digital leaders are harnessing the deep social profiling, hyper targeting, and playful language of Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApps of the world for social good, social change, and cultural communication.

This broad ranging panel discussion plus Q&A covered case studies and new methodologies:

  • examined the latest in social media micro-targeting to sway communities and elections
  • learned how Tate uses social to deliver fresh takes on culture to previously unreachable audiences
  • explored how leaders in social and mobile are creating media designed for social sharing and distribution

Chaired by Ci CEO Rachel Neaman, the event featured Ros Lawler, Digital Director at Tate; Matt Hall, Anmama Founder and former Executive Producer of Guardian News and Media; and Dr Charles Kriel, Ci Director of Digital Creativity and former BBC Radio 1 Resident Artist.
