Digital Leaders North

Digital Leaders North brings together our three DL Local regions, the North West, North East and Yorkshire & Humberside. As the birthplace of the industrial revolution, the North already has a long and rich history of innovation and entrepreneurship. There are more than 20 universities in the North, including four in the top 100 universities globally.

Currently, the government is investing in a wide range of initiatives including £113 billion in transport and the major conurbations have now elected Mayors. Funding is being made available for ground-breaking projects to develop the North’s strengths across science, technology and business.

Through our three DL Local communities, we already have an active programme of topics and events, but with many now taking a more strategic approach to the future of the region such as the Northern Powerhouse, we recognise the need to work together with our local partners to get the best outcomes for the digital sector.
