Birmingham

Birmingham is building on its engineering history and success in manufacturing with a new focus on digital technology. With three Universities it is seeing entrepreneurs choose to base themselves in City and West Midlands mayor Andy Street has a strong focus on the digital technology sector.

Birmingham is set to become the UK’s first large-scale test bed for 5G technology and is working to connect buses, hospitals and the emergency services with this new technology and encourage a new generation of start-ups to the area to take advantage of world-class streaming and broadband.
