Workshop: Artificial Intelligence for Cities

18 June @ 6:00 pm - 8:30 pm, The Nexus Centre, University of Leeds, Discovery Way, Leeds, LS2 3AA

Artificial Intelligence offers new approaches to make cities work better for citizens and businesses. Leeds has major capabilities in data and computer science, and a strong record of innovation in health care and digital local government.

The Nexus, University of Leeds and the Connected Places Catapult will host an evening event on what AI could do for cities, including Leeds, and what businesses and researchers in the region can bring to city innovation, nationally and globally. The event aims to bring together local digital businesses, researchers and the local public sector. It is the third meeting of the UK URBAIN City Analytics and AI network, and the first in Leeds.

Speakers will include Tamar Loach, Data Science Team Lead at the Catapult, Paul Connell, Founder, ODI Leeds, CEO The Data City, Prof David Hogg, Professor of Artificial Intelligence, University of Leeds and the Alan Turing Institute Urban Data programme.

Presentations and the panel will be followed by drinks and networking.

This is a free networking event, however registration is essential to ensure your place.
