Showcase: MONICA smart city Leeds

12 December @ 10:00 am - 4:30 pm, Cloth Hall Court, Quebec Street, Leeds, LS1 2HA

Smart City Showcase

Attend MONICA project and Leeds Beckett University’s smart city showcase for an opportunity to discover applications of IoT technology for crowd safety, security and enjoyment, through the outcomes of the MONICA project and networking with relevant professionals, and influence the future of smart cities.

The smart city showcase is hosted by the MONICA project, one of the EU’s innovation projects under the Horizon2020 umbrella. The showcase will provide details of what MONICA has achieved and learned in this space – there will be interactive demos of some of the technology, as well as applied case studies and a sharing of outcomes.

Digital Leaders Cities partner Leeds City Council will be speaking at the event. Stephen Blackburn, Data and Innovation Manager at Leeds City Council will talk about IoT and its potential benefit to Leeds.

There will be ample chance for networking with interested professionals from across Europe, and the chance to be involved in shaping the next steps for innovation in this field as together we lay out a roadmap for the future use of smart cities concepts in tourism & art.
