Newcastle
16 January @ 8:30 am - 1:30 pm, Southway Housing Trust, Southern Gate, 729 Princess Road, Manchester, M20 2LT
Independent living technology has evolved rapidly in recent years, as housing and care providers use the analogue to digital switchover to consider new, connected solutions.
Some early adopter landlords and care providers across the North West of England are blazing a trail with a new generation of web-connected solutions, including wearable and non-wearable sensor technologies.
These Internet of Things (IoT) solutions have the potential to deliver new freedoms to thousands of people living in older-age and with numerous conditions such as dementia; reducing the burden on family, carers and primary care.
Hosted by Southway Housing Trust and sponsored by place-tech specialists Secure Meters, ‘Innovation in Independent Living’ will bring together care technology thought leaders from across the region to share live examples of innovation and good practice, providing a useful foundation for action moving forward.
Discover first-hand how new technologies are:
