4th Digital Leaders Conference: Supporting Digital Adoption and Growth in SMEs

01 December @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm, One Whitehall Place

Small Businesses are the backbone of the UK economy. There are 5.4m small businesses in the UK, they employ 15.6m of the UK workforce and their combined annual turnover is 1.8 trillion pounds. However, many small businesses are not yet making the most of the opportunities open to them by the internet.

From Government there is a push to support Digital Transformation through the LEPS and Growth Hubs while further digitisation of the integration of government with Small business includes HMRC to make business Tax Digital from 2018.

This year’s Digital Leaders Conference will bring together experienced leaders from Government, Business, Local Enterprise partnerships, Growth hubs and Academia to share thought leadership, innovative ideas and industry insight on how the small business sector is adapting to and adopting digital technologies to help them grow and prosper.

In the morning, we will hear from Government on the latest policy thinking in delivering effective regional business support and how they plan to empower small businesses to adopt digital to help them grow and from the agencies and partners helping them achieve this.

In particular we will hear from Growth hubs and Local Enterprise partnerships on the latest innovative digital projects from Digitising the High Street to effective Digital Leadership programmes.

After lunch, Digital Leaders partners and other Global organisations will share their latest insights, global trends and innovative solutions. Whether helping small businesses from the Digital Highstreet to Fintech and Digital Payments or from traditional businesses to digital startups there are great opportunities to take SMEs digital.

We will hear some compelling case studies on how some small businesses have completely transformed their businesses and are now trading globally as a direct result of adopting digital as well as workshopping new solutions and making new connections across this complex landscape of supporting organisations and small businesses themselves.

We are expecting a significant demand for the limited tickets so recommend early registration.
