Meetup: London AgileHR

20 June @ 6:15 pm - 9:00 pm, RocketSpace, 40 Islington High Street, London, N1 8EQ

The hugely successful learning network for Human Resources (HR), Learning and Development (L&D), Agile and, People and Culture professionals, is returning to London on the 20th June 2018.

The event is also back with old friends, Saberr, the fantastic people analytics company, who are not only a great enabler of Agile team development but an active supporter of the AgileHR collective from the beginning.

Our theme for the evening – Helping self-organising teams solve their own problems

Leading on from previous AgileHR Meetup discussions, our focus returns to how we can support the development and continuous improvement of autonomous and self-organising teams.

If you’re measuring real time employee engagement, then you’re already kick-started some great AgileHR practices. Yet, an ongoing question is what to do with the extensive and detailed data collected, and how to co-create the answers directly with your people?

Invite Agile teams to solve their own problems

Taking an Agile development approach to employee engagement means working ‘with people’ not ‘on people’ and supporting your teams to solve their own problems rather than ‘imposing’ a solution from outside or above.

On the night, teamwork expert Alistair Shepherd, Founder of Saberr, will explore how to approach Agile team development, discuss examples of happy teams getting on with the job and introduce a well-researched digital team coaching tool….plus, a chance to meet a robot!

Next, Bee Heller, Partner at The Pioneers, will continue our discussion and share a recent case study on how to enable Agile team accountability and development through feedback loops and retrospectives.

As always, the we’ll then link it all back to your own organisation and run a share and learn session on how to make this happen back in your own team or workplace.

What is AgileHR?

Transforming the fundamental principles of HR to into People Operations leading Agile, digital and networked organisations. AgileHR aims to build a shared value between your customer, business and people by embracing:

  • A mindset, that applies the Agile values, normally associated with ‘tech’, to HR
  • A deliberate move away from HR ‘best practice’ and blueprinting one-size-fits-all solutions
  • User experimentation to validate what works and what doesn’t
  • Agile work practices, like Scrum and Kanban, to get things done
  • Design principles to develop human centric people practices and solutions
  • Evidence-based decision making, that uses data and insight to drive each iteration
