Meet our new chair
We are pleased to let you know that at our Advisory Board on 14th May we welcomed a new Chair of the DL Advisory Board (DLab). Elizabeth Vega OBE DUniv, Group CEO, Informed Solutions.
Elizabeth is a tech pioneer and Export Champion. With appointments on various main boards, Government advisory panels and industry committees, Elizabeth is an expert in leading complex change and digital transformation programmes for globally recognised private sector companies and government bodies.
Elizabeth has served on the Digital Leaders Board since 2021 and steps up as Sabby Gill, CEO, Dext steps back from Chairing, but remains on the Board.

Elizabeth Vega OBE stepping up to take the new role as Chair said…
“It is a privilege and an honour to take on the role of Chair of the Digital Leaders Advisory Board.
As a longstanding member and contributor, I’ve seen first-hand the power of the cross-sector, cross-disciplinary conversations that Digital Leaders enables and how Digital Leaders’ community of leaders and experts continues to drive meaningful innovation and policy change across the UK tech sector.
“I’m deeply grateful to Sabby for his leadership in laying such strong foundations and I look forward to building on this collaborative blueprint to help the UK translate its digital competence and investment in tech innovation into inclusive digital growth, and greater confidence, security and trust in digital technologies.
My focus for the Board will be to harness its expert insight to drive programmes that ensures the UK is globally recognised for its trusted, mature AI and data-science innovation, enabling inclusive and sustainable growth, more effective government, and modernised public services.“I’m excited to work alongside my fellow Board members and invite the wider Digital Leaders community to share their views on the priorities and actions we should champion together.”
Along with Elizabeth taking on the Chair role, we are also welcoming three new Board Members:
- Gori Yahaya, CEO at Upskill Universe
- Angie Ma, Co-founder Faculty AI;
- Jean Innes, CEO Alan Turing Institute.
We also thank and say farewell to two long time advisors:
- Alison McKenzie Folan, CEO Wigan
- Rob Wilmot, Angel Investor and NED.
On stepping down to rejoin the main board, Sabby Gill said
