What skills will employers need in 2025 and how do we secure them?

As the UK nears ‘full employment’ many employers are experiencing skill shortages in business-critical occupations. On top of this, the jobs market is changing rapidly as a result of demographic and technological disruption. The growth in self-employment, the rise of the so-called ‘gig economy’, and the uncertainty of Brexit all add to the potential headaches that employers in the South East of England are facing.

Join this workshop to hear from experts in the field discussing:

  • What skills will employers be looking for in the future?
  • Is the workforce equipped to meet the changing demands of business and are education and training providers building a pipeline of skills over the next decade which will satisfy employers’ needs for vocational, technical, ‘soft’ and interpersonal skills?
  • Are education and training providers responsive enough to the needs of employers?
